Privacy Policy
Last updated October 17, 2026
This policy explains what Dirty Ninja LLC (“we”) collects when you use Togoro — the app at app.togoro.app and the website togoro.app — what we do with it, and what you control. Short version: we collect what the app needs to work, we don’t sell it, we don’t use ad trackers, and analytics on togoro.app run only if you agree.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, first name, date of birth, neighborhood, bio, interests, profile photo and your settings.
- What you do in the app: plans you create (what, when, neighborhood, meeting spot, how to spot you), join requests, messages in plan chats, “I’m here” check-ins, feedback and ratings you leave, reports you send, and people you block.
- Waitlist on togoro.app: your email, city, language, survey answers and which page you signed up from.
- Technical: sign-in cookies that keep you logged in; on togoro.app, your chosen language and city are saved in your browser (see the Cookie Policy). Our hosting providers keep standard server logs, which include IP addresses.
- Analytics on togoro.app, only if you accept: pages you visit and links you click, your approximate location from your IP address, and your device and browser type — collected by Google Analytics.
We don’t collect your precise location — you pick a neighborhood. We don’t access your contacts.
How we use it
- To run Togoro: show plans, handle join requests, deliver chats and MeetCodes.
- To email you: sign-in codes, join requests, “you’re in”, cancellations, and the waitlist confirmation. You can turn plan emails off in Profile → Notifications; sign-in codes always go out.
- To keep people safe: review reports, apply blocks, limit spam and abuse.
- To improve Togoro: we read feedback notes you choose to leave, and — if you accepted analytics on togoro.app — look at how many people visit and which parts of the site they use.
Who sees what
- Your profile card (first name, age if you show it, neighborhood, bio, interests, photo): other signed-in people — or only people in a plan with you, if you choose that in Profile → Privacy. People you block, and people who block you, don’t see it.
- Your date of birth and email are never shown to other people.
- Plans are visible to signed-in people. The exact meeting spot is shown only to the host and accepted guests.
- Chats, MeetCodes and check-ins: only the host and accepted guests of that plan.
- Ratings: nobody sees individual ratings or who left them. Others see an average only once you have at least 3.
- Feedback notes and reports: only the Togoro team. The person you report isn’t told who reported them.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information or share it for advertising. We use a few providers to run Togoro, and they process data only for us:
- Supabase — database, sign-in and photo storage (servers in the United States).
- Vercel — hosting for the app and website.
- Resend — sending emails.
- Cloudflare — domain name service and forwarding of email sent to our addresses.
- Google Fonts — fonts on togoro.app (your browser requests them from Google).
- OpenFreeMap — map tiles in the app. Your browser requests them directly, which shares your IP address and the area you’re looking at.
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim — when you publish a plan, our server sends the meeting spot’s name and address (never your name or account) to place it on the map. The point is shown only to you and the guests you accept.
- Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics — visit statistics on togoro.app, only if you accept analytics cookies. We don’t turn on Google’s advertising features.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or when it’s needed to protect someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or merger of Dirty Ninja LLC — in which case this policy keeps applying to your data.
How long we keep it
- Your account data stays until you delete your account.
- Deleting your account (Profile → Account) erases your profile, photo, plans you host with their chats, your join requests, check-ins, feedback, ratings you gave and received, and your blocks — right away.
- Messages you sent in other people’s plans stay in those chats so the conversation still makes sense, but they’re no longer linked to you and show as “Former member”.
- Reports are kept for safety reasons, without a link to a deleted account.
- Waitlist entries stay until we launch in your city or you ask us to remove them.
Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile, hide your age, limit who sees your profile and turn off emails at any time in the app.
- Turn analytics on togoro.app on or off with Cookie settings at the bottom of the site.
- Delete your account yourself in Profile → Account.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete waitlist data: write to hello@togoro.app. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have more rights under local law — we’ll honor them.
Security
Access to data is enforced in the database itself: each person can only read what the rules above allow. Connections are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects you, we’ll tell you.
Age
Togoro is only for people 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone younger; if we learn of it, we delete the account.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If the change matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email first. See also our Terms of Service.
